So Cute!

So, I just love it when something that I make turns out how I want it to. This little project not only was super easy, but turned out So Cute! I think that what I love about it the most is how much my little sweetie loves it...
(this is the liner-I just used an old sheet for it, but as soon as it was stuffed Hudson was in Heaven)

Since we have been trying to transform our playroom into a more practical and usable/organized space, I realized we needed more seating. The room is a really weird shape and is VERY small, so I knew the seating needed to be flexible. I saw a tutorial online a long time ago for a DIY beanbag chair, so I decided that is what I'd make. I want to make two, BUT I had a really tough time finding the stuffing, so unless I somehow stumble upon more recycled polystyrene pellets fill, I won't be making another one anytime soon.(CRAZY-randomness-I found mine on Kijiji for 10 bucks)

I found cuuute fabric from fabric.com, and even got the fabric for a steal using an online coupon code(and it seriously only took 3 days to get here-score).

I printed out this pattern, and went to work. It really only took a couple hours to make start to finish-the absolute WORST part was filling the bag with the pellets, but that could be due to the fact that I had a VERY helpful 2 year old who was pretty excited that it looked like it snowed in our living room!

So if ANYONE out there knows where I can get more of the bean bag refill in Edmonton-I'd love to know, so I can make another one of these cute chairs!

  1. Lindsey I am super impressed, I want one! Haha, also, Wal-Mart sometimes carries bean bag filler, but it's hit and miss, they never have it 100% of the time, but I've seen it there.

  2. Man, I can just imagine the help. Parker "helped" me feed bean bags and it was a little crazy. You always have the cutest ideas.
