Baby it's cold outside!

What do you do when it's too cold to go outside? Well around here we have been crafting, playing and watching movies. Pretty sad, but Hudson, Cooper and I have pretty much been in our pajamas since Sunday afternoon:).-I live in Edmonton, Alberta and it is -40degrees Celsius out tonight-eek

A few weeks ago a friend of mine came to church with a cute headband in her hair. She told me that she bought it at a local supermarket(one I knew I wouldn't be going to anytime soon). She said it was awesome because it that morning she had no time to do her hair, but threw the headband in her hair and made her still feel pretty. Feel pretty with minimal effort-that sounded pretty good to me!

Since I pretty much NEVER go shopping in a store anymore, I went online to see if I could find something similar. I found these but I did not want to pay 40 bucks. I then stumbled upon a blog(crap, I can't find it now to give credit-sorry) where this girl made her own applique headband for her wedding. She said that she just bought some appliques on ebay and made exactly what she wanted.I ebayed appliques and found tones-for cheap.

So here is what I made(these bad boys literally take 5 minutes to make)

So all that needed to be done to the appliques was adding elastic(or ribbon or you could just glue it on to a metal headband) and then I backed it with self adhesive felt. Viola! Each of the appliques cost around five bucks and the elastic maybe cost 50 cents-not bad!
